Sources of Islamic Medicine

The concept of Islamic medicine is a concept of care that emphasizes on two (2) main source Ilahiiah and Natural. Treatment is guided by a strong belief that the essence of true healing comes from God who are As-Shafi '(Healing Grantor) and provisions (efficacy), bidders (a drug) into the handle. As word of the Prophet Muhammad:

      "Use two healers: Honey and Al-Quran" (Narrated by Ibnu Majah and Al-Hakim)

Herbal experts see it as a source of natural honey and the Qur'an as a divine source. Divine means that all applicable disease is of God and God is also true cure. While manausia earnestly endeavored to use her God-given knowledge. Sebagaiman Rasullullah said:

"Berobatlah you, because Allah SWT reduce disease, He (Allah SWT) also all depends cure." (Narrated by Ahmad)

Care will be more efficacious if the nurses themselves have a strong relationship with Allah SWT . Prayer is the essence of Islamic medicine . Resignation is a complement , while the efficacy and basic science into action :
DOA -------- > SCIENCE -------- > tawakal

Thus the divine source gives confidence that the healing action of nature As Allah Shafi ' ( Supreme Healer ) . Patients also brought closer to God through advice and guidance as well as the right to worship away from the properties mazmumah ( reprehensible ) .

Is to use the natural resources that exist in nature on earth , such as plants, rocks and animals . Extensive assessment to plant parts such as roots , stems , leaves , flowers and other plant parts .

Sources alamaiah using herb - herb herbs selected using a regular discipline . History records the herb has been used as a source of medicine since centuries years ago and it is estimated more than 20,000 species of herbs that have been used around the world .

The principles in Islamic medicine, namely:
  1. The principle of belief, namely that the cure is God Almighty. Thus in treating patients as charity and should be done in accordance with Islamic law (Al-Qura'n and Sunnah). 
  2. Using drugs and thoyyib halal (good), and do not ever use illicit drugs / illicit material mixed. 
  3. Principles of treatment that does not bring harm (hazards). This treatment is not at all times Disable (damage) of the body, unless the situation was an emergency and there is no other treatment that moment. 
  4. Principle of treatment: contains no superstition, and heresy kurafat 
  5. Prinsisp looking better, Islam and Science Based kaedah treatment 
  6. Taking the initiative because melali (attempted) and resignation (surrender), are also always looking for a better effort.
